Privacy Policy

When you fill out a form, request a call back or chat with us, you may provide:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• Your service address and ZIP code
• The service you need, your preferred appointment window and how you'd like to be contacted
• Anything you write in a message or in the website chat

You don’t have to provide this information, but we need it to respond to you.

When you visit the site, we and the services we use collect standard technical information, such as your browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, the pages you visit, how you got to the site, and how you interact with pages.

We use two analytics tools to understand how the site is used and to improve it:

• Google Analytics, which measures visits, page views and which pages lead to inquiries.
• Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through pages (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) and produces heatmaps and session replays. Clarity's default settings mask what you type into form fields.

Both tools use cookies or similar technologies. See “Cookies and your choices” below for how to limit them.

• To keep records of the work we do and the conversations we have with you

The chat assistant on this site, Marshal AI, is an automated AI assistant, not a person. Your chat messages are processed by our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate replies. If you share your contact details in the chat and ask us to get in touch, the conversation is sent to our team along with your details. Please don’t share sensitive personal information, such as payment card or medical details, in the chat.

If you tick the box on one of our forms, or agree in the website chat, you consent to receive calls and text messages from us, which may be automated, about your service request and appointments. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors that support our services, such as customer service and messaging providers. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Our customer management system (LeadConnector / HighLevel), where your requests are stored so our team can follow up
• Service providers that run the website and its features: Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (website chat), Google (analytics), Microsoft (Clarity analytics) and Zippopotam.us (looking up the location of a ZIP code)
• Authorities or other parties when required by law, or to protect our rights and safety
• A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized

We use a small number of essential cookies that the site needs to work. Analytics cookies are only used with your permission where the law requires it (including in the EU, UK and Switzerland), and you can turn them off anywhere using Your Privacy Choices in the footer.

• In the EU, UK, Switzerland and anywhere outside the United States, analytics stay off until you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner.
• In the United States, analytics are on by default and you can turn them off at any time in Your Privacy Choices.
• We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out, and analytics stay off.
• You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on all sites at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We keep contact and service records for as long as we need them to serve you, keep proper business records and meet legal requirements, then delete them. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, or delete it, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time. To make a request, email support@drainmarshalplumbing.com or call (971) 385-4655. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time the law requires (generally 30 to 45 days). We won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

Residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others) have the rights above, plus the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, and targeted advertising.

• We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioural advertising.
• In the past 12 months we have collected identifiers and contact details (such as name, phone, email and address), the details of your service request and messages, and internet activity on this site (analytics). We use them only for the purposes described in this policy and disclose them only to the service providers listed above.
• You can use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof that they are authorised.
• If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with "Appeal" in the subject line, and we will respond within the time required by your state's law.

Drain Marshal Plumbing Company is the controller of your personal data. We use it on these legal bases: to take steps you ask for before entering into a contract and to perform it (responding to your request and providing services); our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business; your consent (analytics cookies), which you can withdraw at any time in Your Privacy Choices; and legal obligations.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Our service providers may process data in the United States; where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under EU and UK law, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

This website is intended for adults arranging plumbing services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
